\n The winner with 39 Stableford points was Kevin Honeyman, whose wife Lesley Honeyman won Sue Hirons\u2019 Lady Captain\u2019s Day held two weeks prior, also with 39 Stableford points.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ghyll Golf Club, established in 1907, has never had a husband and wife winning their respective Captain\u2019s Day honours.\n<\/p>\n

\n And earlier in June, on the newly-redesigned layout at Ghyll, Brandon Cocker shot a course record 65 in the Kynaston Trophy, with five birdies and an eagle.\n<\/p>\n
\n A Ghyll member for 16 years, he has represented the scratch team for a decade.\n<\/p>\n
\n After his 65, Cocker said: “I never thought I’d ever achieve that score, and I’m still stunned.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cEverything went right for me and it felt so special doing it on the course where I started playing off 54 handicap and learnt so much.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI am grateful for the support of my family and also members who provided coaching and transport to matches\/trips away in the early days.\n<\/p>\n
