That\u2019s right, zero rest, which makes this a challenging session even if you\u2019re already pretty fit, so I wouldn\u2019t say it\u2019s the best place to start if you\u2019re new to abs workouts \u2014 give this <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tomsguide.com\/wellness\/workouts\/new-to-fitness-this-10-minute-abs-workout-is-perfect-for-strengthening-your-core-and-you-can-do-it-anywhere\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.tomsguide.com\/wellness\/workouts\/new-to-fitness-this-10-minute-abs-workout-is-perfect-for-strengthening-your-core-and-you-can-do-it-anywhere\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">10-minute session<\/a> a go instead, perhaps.<\/p>\n<p>You may like<\/p>\n<p>If you are keen to try Reif\u2019s workout, then I\u2019d advise scanning through it before you start so you know what exercises are involved. Since you don\u2019t get any rest breaks, you have to transition between moves quickly, which I found tricky with exercises like the oblique crunch that I wasn\u2019t instantly familiar with.<\/p>\n<p>I certainly found the workout challenging when I tried it. Here are my main takeaways from tackling it.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-this-is-the-hardest-10-minute-abs-workout-i-ve-done\" data-url=\"\" href=\"\" data-hl-processed=\"none\"\/>This is the hardest 10-minute abs workout I\u2019ve done<\/p>\n<p id=\"a8a6791f-aa1a-4cef-977f-ff897512a097\">I\u2019ve tried a lot of abs workouts in my time, from a wide range of fitness trainers, and this was the hardest one yet, purely because of the lack of rest.<\/p>\n<p>In most workouts, you do an exercise for 30-45 seconds, then get a 15-30 second break, which I really rely on to calm the burning sensation in my abs.
