\n The latest survey about practices across the county shows how patients thought their surgeries handled a number of subjects including, ease of contacting their GP, and whether they felt their clinicians \u201clistened\u201d to them.\n<\/p>\n
\n Little St John’s Street surgery in Woodbridge came out on top, with 97% of patients rating the practice \u2018Good\u2019 overall. Of this figure, 78% of patients rated the practice as \u2018very good\u2019.\n<\/p>\n
\n This was closely followed by Sole Bay Health Centre in Reydon, which was rated good overall by 96% of patients and \u2018very good\u2019 by 75%. Fressingfield Medical Centre was also rated good overall by 96% of patients and \u2018very good\u2019 by 70%.\n<\/p>\n
\n The practices ranked lowest by patients were Needham Market Country Practice, which was judged as \u201cfairly\u201d or \u201cvery poor\u201d by 21% of patients, with the \u201cvery poor\u201d scores at 9% overall.\n<\/p>\n
\n The next practice which patients found wanting was Constable Country Rural Medical Practice in East Bergholt, which was judged as poor by 19% of respondents, with 12% finding it \u201cvery poor\u201d.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
How easy is it to contact your GP?<\/p>\n
\n The survey asked patients how easy it was for them to contact their GP surgery by phone. Of those, 37.8% of respondents reported that it was \u201ceasy\u201d for them to do so. The surgeries to score highest in this area were Sole Bay Health Centre, where 96% of patients found it easy to get in touch, and Bildeston Health Centre, where 90% of people felt this way.\n<\/p>\n
\n The surgeries where patients struggled the most to reach a GP were Cardinal Medical Practice in Ipswich, where 62% of respondents reported it was either \u201cfairly\u201d or \u201cvery\u201d difficult for them to get in touch, and Bridge Road Surgery in Lowestoft, where 57% of respondents found the same.\n<\/p>\n
How quickly can patients get an appointment?<\/p>\n
\n The survey also asked respondents about their last appointment.\n<\/p>\n
\n For the most part, patients in Suffolk were offered a same-day appointment less than half the time. The practice with the highest record of getting patients an on-the-day appointment was Stowhealth, which managed it 60% of the time.\n<\/p>\n
\n Seven other practices managed to get over the 50% mark, including Orchard Medical Practice (Ipswich), Ravenswood Medical Practice (Ipswich), the Grove Medical Centre in Felixstowe, Cutlers Hill Surgery (Halesworth), Victoria Road Surgery (Lowestoft), Forest Surgery (Brandon) and Oakfield Surgery (Newmarket).\n<\/p>\n
\n Some patients reported getting an appointment more than two weeks later, although these figures generally stayed at under 20%. Mount Farm Surgery in Bury St Edmunds was the practice where this occurred most frequently, at 24%.\n<\/p>\n
\n This was followed by Alexandra & Crestview Surgeries (Lowestoft) at 23%, and then Framlingham Surgery at 22%.\n<\/p>\n
How good are healthcare workers at listening to you?<\/p>\n
\n The results showed that overwhelmingly, people in Suffolk to feel heard by their clinicians. When asked how well their healthcare professional was at listening to them, the majority of people answered \u2018Good\u2019 across the board.\n<\/p>\n
\n This figure 90% or more for than half of all practices in Suffolk. At Little St John’s Street, patients said this was the case 99% of the time. This was closely followed by Fressingfield Medical Centre at 98% and Haven Health at 97%.\n<\/p>\n
