We tried to stop them by locking up but we didn&#8217;t move quickly enough.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;They&#8217;ve parked on the car park and on the green &#8211; they were riding around on the green the other night in their cars.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;A woman from the council came round to do a welfare check on them earlier.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;They aren&#8217;t in at the moment &#8211; apparently they&#8217;ve gone to the seaside for the day.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;We&#8217;ve contacted a bailiff agency, so they&#8217;re going to be round soon to serve them an eviction notice, after which they&#8217;ll have 24 hours to leave.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The club has had to shut in the meantime, and they will likely be shut tomorrow (July 11) while the issue is sorted out.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\" alt=\"Travellers\"\/> (Image: Dan Dougherty)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Travellers came to Hart Common Golf Club after being evicted from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theboltonnews.co.uk\/news\/26265588.claims-travellers-demanded-30-000-leave-westhoughton-golf-club\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Westhoughton Golf Club<\/a> on July 9.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theboltonnews.co.uk\/news\/26265588.claims-travellers-demanded-30-000-leave-westhoughton-golf-club\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The group at Westhoughton Golf Club originally asked the club for \u00a330k to move on<\/a>, reducing their offer to \u00a33k after the club sent bailiffs round, according to the club chairman.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  But the group ended up leaving the Westhoughton Golf Club site once the club after being handed an eviction notice by bailiffs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The group moved onto Hart Common on July 9 after previously occupying Westhoughton Golf Club.
