The three-stage WorldTour race in Switzerland promises to pull us out of our post-Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift slump. <\/p>\n

WorldTour racing continues with the fourth edition of the Tour de Romandie F\u00e9minin. The three-day event features an opening individual time trial and two road stages, one of which ends with a 13 km ascent. The race has been won by Lotte Kopecky, Demi Vollering and Ashleigh Moolman Pasio, but this year a new name will top the standings. <\/p>\n

With the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift behind us and the World Championships on the horizon, the peloton will be a mix of riders who missed the French stage race and riders who are returning to the peloton after some time off the bike. The Worlds road course is said to be extremely challenging, so the uphill finish on stage 2 is an opportunity for the climbers to stretch their legs. <\/p>\n

Since the short opening time trial is uphill, the race overall will likely go to one of the mountain goats, but don’t count the rocks before they’ve fallen. The races that happen post-Tour are always unpredictable, thanks to the changing objectives of teams and the varying level of the peloton. There are also quite a few riders who will still be hunting contracts, which will make the remainder of the season a little more interesting. <\/p>\n
