Considering just how much joy she\u2019s brought to us over the years<\/a>, we\u2019re not taking it lightly when we say that Alison Hammond<\/a>\u2019s latest interview with Prince Harry<\/a> may be one of the finest TV moments she\u2019s ever been responsible for.<\/p>\n

On Friday morning, the This Morning<\/a> host interviewed King Charles\u2019 youngest son on location in her hometown of Birmingham, where the Duke of Sussex was launching the Invictus Games ahead of their arrival in the city next year.<\/p>\n

To kick off the live broadcast, she and Prince Harry took part in a round of \u201claser run\u201d that was every bit as chaotic as it sounds, but it end with Alison grabbing a hug from the Duke and jumping up and down with him to celebrate his win (chucking royal protocol out the window in a way only a select few besides the Bake Off<\/a> host could get away with).<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

As the broadcast continued, Alison declared that she\u2019d \u201ctracked down\u201d Prince Harry and was also able to grab an extended interview with him live on air.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am excited,\u201d he said of the Invictus Games\u2019 impending arrival in Birmingham. \u201cNot as excited as you were \u2013 and still are. It\u2019s alright! You\u2019re very excitable, and I love that. Everyone loves that about you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe just touched my neck!\u201d she then whispered to viewers, getting a laugh out of the sporting event\u2019s founding patron.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy the way,\u201d he confessed. \u201cMy kids love you on Bake Off. Absolutely love it. And I love it as well.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Alison and Prince Harry\u2019s paths first crossed way back in 2018, during his and his then-fianc\u00e9e Meghan Markle\u2019s first public engagement<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if I\u2019m going to go down the whole royal journalist route,\u201d she admitted to HuffPost UK shortly afterwards<\/a>, claiming: \u201cI just don\u2019t know the protocol. I called her Megs and I don\u2019t think I even called him Prince Harry. I should have said \u2018Prince\u2019 but I forgot. He\u2019s just \u2018Harry\u2019 to me!\u201d<\/p>\n

More recently, Prince Harry surprised everyone<\/a> when he lip synced to one of Alison\u2019s iconic quotes in a viral social media skit for Stephen Colbert\u2019s now-defunct US talk show.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey found out that I was one of your secret admirers,\u201d Harry told Alison on Friday. <\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I follow your every move. They said, \u2018who do you want to imitate?\u2019, and I said, \u2018obviously Alison\u2019. So we did that! And by the way, it was a huge hit!\u201d<\/p>\n
