Coventry is set to remain under a heat health warning with temperatures expected to stay around 30C. UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) guidance covering the city has been extended until Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Originally set to end at 9am on Monday (July 13), the Amber warning has now been extended until 9pm on Wednesday (July 15). Significant impacts are likely across health and social care services over the coming days.<\/p>\n
Conditions are expected to be ‘dry and sunny’ across Coventry<\/a> and Warwickshire<\/a> in the week ahead. Not only have we now recorded a record eight days with temperatures exceeding 34C, surpassing the previous record held by 1976 and 2020, but it is also the first year in the UK weather record to see temperatures reach 35C or higher in May, June and July.\u201d<\/p>\n Health officials warned that the heat could have a greater impact on older people and those with existing health conditions.
