UK registered seafood companies attending can apply for a free-of-charge branded podium on the UK pavilion.<\/p>\n
These free-standing podiums act as company-specific reception desks and provide a focal point for exporters engaging with visitors and prospective customers.<\/p>\n
Andy Gray, Seafish Trade Engagement Manager said: \u201cFeedback from UK companies that have attended recent expos in Tokyo has highlighted significant trade wins and further expectations for growth.<\/p>\n
\u201cExhibitors report that Japanese customers and other expo visitors value the opportunity for face-to-face interactions, helping to build trust and strengthen commercial relationships.\u201d<\/p>\n
The UK pavilion at this year\u2019s event is funded by the new UK Government Seafood Exports Package as part of the wider UK Fisheries and Coastal Growth Fund and includes a communal lounge for meetings with existing and prospective customers, a live kitchen for recipe sampling and product demonstrations, free-of-charge branded podiums for UK exporters and support from Seafish, Seafood Scotland and Defra staff.<\/p>\n
UK Government trade specialists will be available throughout the event to help exporters better understand the Japanese market and establish valuable commercial connections.<\/p>\n
Interpreters will be on hand to facilitate discussions in Japanese and English.<\/p>\n
The 28th edition of the annual expo will take place at Tokyo Big Sight from 19-21 August 2026.<\/p>\n
