an eight-wicket defeat to Essex at the Kia Oval on Sunday<\/a>, Surrey reached the knockout rounds after finishing second in the South group.<\/p>\nAhead of the trip to the Midlands, Evans insists the side are not fearful of the task ahead.<\/p>\n
“I don’t think we’ve won a home quarter-final, so I’m not fussed. I’ll go anywhere,” he told BBC Radio Surrey.<\/p>\n
“If you’d have offered this at the start of the tournament, we’d have taken it.<\/p>\n
“We’d want to top the group as we have before. We’ve been very strong in the groups for the last five years. Now the real stuff starts for us.”<\/p>\n
Evans says the team, which has been unchanged for the last three games, has the experience to cope with the task.<\/p>\n
“Individually, we’ve got experience in a lot of big games. The question is can we keep doing it as a collective for Surrey? <\/p>\n
“We haven’t won this tournament for a long time, everyone knows that.
