Heritage Live have cancelled all their summer festivals<\/a>, which were due to take place at three locations in the UK.<\/p>\n They were set to host a series of outdoor concerts in 2026 at the Englefield Estate in Berkshire, the Audley End Estate in Essex, and the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.<\/p>\n Faithless, Richard Ashcroft, Ministry of Sound Classical, and UB40 featuring Ali Campbell were all set to headline the Englefield Estate later this month. Meanwhile, next month, Scissor Sisters, The Streets, Pete Tong presents Ibiza Classics, and Faithless were all booked to headline the Audley End Estate.<\/p>\n Lastly, the Sandringham Estate was set to host Eric Clapton\u2019s only UK concert of 2026 on August 23rd with The Rolling Stones\u2019 Ronnie Wood<\/a> as his special guest. Lionel Richie, Christina Aguilera, Janet Jackson, and Ricky Martin were also set to headline Sandringham in August.<\/p>\n In a statement, just weeks before the first Heritage Live event of the summer was due to happen, organisers shared, \u201cWe\u2019re devastated to report the heartbreaking news that we have no choice but to cancel this summer\u2019s HeritageLive festivals at the Englefield Estate, the Audley End Estate and the Sandringham Estate.\u201d<\/p>\n They continued, \u201cWe\u2019d been working desperately hard behind the scenes to conclude an investment and equity package to ease the burden of an extraordinarily tough year, but this last beacon of hope has fallen through at the 11th hour, making it impossible to go ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n Heritage Live also added of the current festival landsape in the UK, \u201cAs one of the few remaining British independent promoters, it\u2019s become almost impossible to compete in what has become an increasingly saturated festival market.\u201d<\/p>\n As an independent promoter, they said \u201cthe might of huge multi-nationals has had the adverse effect of driving up supplier, artist and staffing costs.\u201d<\/p>\n Although they have found this \u201cjust about manageable during a normal year\u201d, they highlighted \u201cthe cost-of-living crisis combined with general financial uncertainty\u201d as reasons why \u201cseveral shows\u201d have \u201cfar lower than average ticket sales, making it impossible to survive in such a competitive industry, with so many rising costs.\u201d<\/p>\n Heritage Live conceded, \u201cIt would therefore be irresponsible and wrong of us to proceed without the certainty that we\u2019d be able to meet all of our supplier, artist and crew costs.\u201d<\/p>\n They concluded by saying they were \u201cabsolutely devastated\u201d by the cancellation, before adding, \u201cIt would have been the most amazing summer with such an extraordinary array of supreme talent and we\u2019re all so very sorry to let everyone down.\u201d<\/p>\n In regards to refunds, Heritage Live directed ticket-holders to their point of purchase, stating, \u201cYou will have bought your tickets via one of our reputable ticket agents, either AXS Ticketing, Ticketmaster, See Tickets, Gigantic, Skiddle, or Ticketline. Please locate and keep safe your ticket transaction receipt, which would have been emailed to you from one of the above ticket agents, following your booking.\u201d<\/p>\n They added, \u201cAs the \u2018merchant of record\u2019 ticket agents are bound by the Consumer Rights Act to process your refund \u2018without undue delay\u2019 and in many cases this will happen automatically within a reasonable period, but please contact your ticket agent directly should you have any queries.\u201d<\/p>\n
