The Principality Stadium has offered its services to ensure Fury vs Joshua lands on British soilCredit: Getty<\/p>\n
The pair must first come through respective warm-up fights, with Fury facing Mariusz Wach<\/a> while Joshua will go up against Kristian Prenga<\/a>.<\/p>\n But arrangements are already being made for their clash, with the bout being explored to be hosted both in the US and UK.<\/p>\n Wembley Stadium is the current front runner, but Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh has requested a 2am start time<\/a> for the clash to appeal to global audiences.<\/p>\n There are currently issues with starting the event that late at the national venue, given a curfew is in place, which can only currently be extended until 1am.<\/p>\n Read More In Boxing<\/p>\n However, the Principality Stadium in Cardiff has now put itself forward to host the clash, insisting a 2am start time would present no issues.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Welsh Rugby Union, who own the stadium, said to Sky Sports<\/a>: “We’d be delighted to host this fight.<\/p>\n “We are very keen to attract more boxing to the stadium which has a rich history in the sport, enhanced by its closeable roof, unrivalled sight lines and unique city centre location.”<\/p>\n History suggests it could indeed repeat itself with the venue having a rich associtation with boxing.<\/p>\n The stadium could hold up to 80,000 fans for boxing events with the previous record set by Anthony Joshua’s victory over Carlos Takam in 2017 at over 78,000.<\/p>\n It could be around 10,000 short of Wembley, but would still represent a sizeable gate far bigger than an indoor arena.<\/p>\n 2<\/p>\n Joshua is one of many British greats to have fought at the stadium beforehandCredit: Getty<\/p>\n Welsh great Joe Calzaghe famously fought Mikkel Kessler late overnight at the venue in 2007.<\/p>\n Joshua himself has fought twice at the venue at a traditional UK time, having also fought Joseph Parker on Cymru shores.<\/p>\n Another famous all-British heavyweight clash between Lennox Lewis and Frank Bruno in Cardiff at the old National Stadium in 1993.<\/p>\n So there would likely be no issue in exploring the venue from promoters, given they also have a roof, which would be useful to prevent any weather hazards for a winter date.<\/p>\n Joshua – stronger than ever for Fury fight<\/p>\n Joshua has had a turbulent time inside and outside of the ring.<\/p>\n But he is now back in full training and working with former undisputed champion Oleksandr Usyk<\/a>.<\/p>\n And he believes that he is now stronger than he has ever been before despite recent turmoil.<\/p>\n He said: “I feel solid.
