\n The broadcaster and former host of The Weakest Link, who has lived in the area for around 40 years, confirmed she is leaving her \u00a34 million converted barn near Hatherop.\n<\/p>\n
\n Ms Robinson, 81, told a national paper: “I am leaving the Cotswolds after 40-odd years.\n<\/p>\n
\n “A heartbreaking decision.”\n<\/p>\n
\n She said the move is to be closer to her daughter Emma as she gets older.\n<\/p>\n
\n Although she still feels “fit,” she said she doesn’t want Emma, her daughter with late Scottish journalist Charles Wilson, to worry about her living far away if she becomes “infirm.”\n<\/p>\n
\n She said: “I will be 82 in the autumn.\n<\/p>\n
\n “I\u2019m fit, but aware of how many of my girlfriends are trying to cope with an elderly, infirm mother miles away.”\n<\/p>\n
\n She also admitted she wouldn\u2019t pass a driving test.\n<\/p>\n
\n Her new home will be in London.\n<\/p>\n
\n She said: “I\u2019ve bought a beautiful fourth-floor terrace filled with trees and plants overlooking Hyde Park.\n<\/p>\n
\n “A small flat is attached.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Importantly, it is only a few streets away from Emma.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Ms Robinson also reflected on the changes she has seen in nearby Bibury, describing it as “full of day trippers.”\n<\/p>\n
\n She spoke about the growing popularity of the Cotswolds among high-profile figures, mentioning Jony Ive, who has bought Ablington Manor, and Marc Newson, who has bought Bibury Court.\n<\/p>\n
\n Despite her sadness about leaving, Ms Robinson said she is looking forward to making the most of life in London with her daughter.\n<\/p>\n
\n She said: “I will have to adapt to living \u2013 as Emma encouragingly puts it \u2013 ‘in one of the most vibrant capitals in the world.’\n<\/p>\n
