{"id":690942,"date":"2026-07-14T10:29:17","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T10:29:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/690942\/"},"modified":"2026-07-14T10:29:17","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T10:29:17","slug":"felbrigg-hall-remains-closed-as-man-trampled-by-cattle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/690942\/","title":{"rendered":"Felbrigg Hall remains closed as man trampled by cattle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The tragedy took place at around 11.45am on Monday, July 13 at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edp24.co.uk\/news\/26276510.man-70s-killed-cattle-felbrigg-hall-norfolk\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Felbrigg Hall<\/a>, near Cromer.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The man in his 70s died at the scene, despite the efforts of paramedics.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Following the death, the National Trust announced that the site was closed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  On the halls National Trust site, it reads &#8220;Felbrigg Hall, Garden and Estate is currently closed and will remain so on Tuesday 14 July.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A spokesman for Norfolk Constabulary said the man&#8217;s next of kin had been informed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  He added: &#8220;Officers are investigating alongside colleagues from the Health and Safety Executive.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A spokeswoman for the National Trust said, &#8220;Emergency services were called to the parkland at Felbrigg Hall on Monday 13th July after a member of the public was seriously injured while walking.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Despite the efforts of the paramedics, the person tragically died at the scene.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;We are shocked and deeply saddened by this news, and our thoughts and condolences are with their family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;As an investigation is under way, we are unable to comment further.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The tragedy took place at around 11.45am on Monday, July 13 at Felbrigg Hall, near Cromer.
