{"id":690947,"date":"2026-07-14T10:33:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T10:33:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/690947\/"},"modified":"2026-07-14T10:33:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T10:33:08","slug":"new-hellesdon-nhs-rivers-centre-opened-by-lord-adebowale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/690947\/","title":{"rendered":"New Hellesdon NHS Rivers Centre opened by Lord Adebowale"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Lord Victor Olufemi Adebowale unveiled a commemorative plaque at the Rivers Centre Hub in Hellesdon.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  He described the centre as &#8220;somewhere going forward&#8221; during the ceremony.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The three new wards form part of a \u00a355 million development at the Hellesdon Hospital site, operated by the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Zo\u00eb Billingham, chair of NSFT, said: &#8220;We are delighted he was able to do the honours and officially open the Rivers Centre.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Rivers Centre (Image: Supplied)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The new centre has been designed with patient wellbeing and recovery in mind, featuring therapeutic spaces, a gym, a community hub with a caf\u00e9 and private en suite bedrooms.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Sustainability was a key focus in the design, with power supplied by solar panels and heating via air source heat pumps.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Service user Beatrice, who helped shape the project, said: &#8220;To have single rooms with a shower is amazing.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;It really makes a huge difference to people getting better.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Lord Victor Olufemi Adebowale unveiled a commemorative plaque at the Rivers Centre Hub in Hellesdon.
