Millie Bobby Brown<\/a> shared how her mental health<\/a> was destroyed by a traumatic incident where she was \u2018chased\u2019.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old Enola Holmes star <\/a>explained that she \u2018shut down\u2019 for three months after the encounter, meditating with monks to cope.<\/p>\n

Millie, who is best known for playing Eleven<\/a> in Stranger Things<\/a>, revealed she suffers from long stretches of anxiety rather than short bursts.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Jay Shetty podcast<\/a>, On Purpose, she said: \u2018My anxiety<\/a> doesn\u2019t come on a Monday and maybe a Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u2018Something big needs to happen and then it will probably last for two months, every day. So mine are cycles.<\/p>\n

\u2018One of my longest cycles must have been three months, and I got chased by somebody in a place, and it sent me into a three-month-long anxiety panic attack.\u2019<\/p>\n

The actress added: \u2018I got chased by these people and it was really traumatising. It was very, very intense and very scary. I shut down for three months.\u2019<\/p>\n

It was only after a trip to Japan that she was able to shake the anxiety cycle, wanting to \u2018heal\u2019 before she started her family.<\/p>\n

Millie and\u00a0Jake Bongiovi \u2013 rocker\u00a0Jon Bon Jovi<\/a>\u2019s son \u2013 got\u00a0married last year<\/a>\u00a0and later announced in August that they had adopted a baby girl.<\/a><\/p>\n

They\u2019ve kept their family life fairly private, with the actress who now goes by\u00a0Millie Bonnie Bongiovi<\/a> describing motherhood as a \u2018beautiful, amazing journey\u2019.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2018Anxiety is the worst thing ever and I knew I needed to heal and I needed to figure out my anxiety before starting a family. I needed to understand what was happening,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

\u2018It was the most amazing experience. It took me out of the cycle.\u2019<\/p>\n

Millie said, looking at old red carpet moments, she can see that she was having a \u2018full-blown panic attack\u2019 but was unable to escape it.<\/p>\n

Now, she has healthier coping mechanisms and tools to break the mindset as it happens, rather than spiralling for months.<\/p>\n

She continued: \u2018Meditation has never been anything that\u2019s worked for me because of my mind and how I\u2019ve not been able to shut out thoughts.<\/p>\n

\u2018Nobody knew who I was, and if they did, they didn\u2019t care in that moment. It was amazing and I will never forget the feeling.<\/p>\n

\u2018I do think that I\u2019m a big believer in divine intervention, and I think that was a moment where God was like, you need to take a break and you need to sit there and figure out what\u2019s going on in your head.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think that really healed me in a lot of ways. It healed a lot of me.\u2019<\/p>\n

Millie previously shared that she believes in past lives,<\/a> more specifically that she was once a closeted gay soldier who met a gruesome end after being killed with a sword through the spine.<\/p>\n

Her Enola Holmes 3 co-star Louis Partridge wasn\u2019t so convinced, saying he doesn\u2019t believe in past lives at all, to Millie\u2019s disappointment.<\/p>\n
