Prince Harry referred to his friendship with James Haskell on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast during his recent trip to the UK, as part of his promotional efforts for the 2027 Birmingham Invictus Games.<\/p>\n

Former competitor and broadcaster JJ Chalmers also joined the conversation.<\/p>\n

Asked who the “most famous person” in his phone contacts was, Harry replied: “Probably Dylan Hartley or James Haskell. You\u2019ve seen them play rugby?”<\/p>\n

Jake Bhardwaj, who co-hosts and produces the podcast, said: “They’re very good. Makes the sport worth watching, doesn\u2019t it?”<\/p>\n

Prince Harry quipped: “And good-looking guys as well.”<\/p>\n

Mr Marler, who famously played rugby against both Mr Hartley and Mr Haskell, said: “There\u2019ll be a heavy edit on this episode, of which I don\u2019t actually have any control, but thank you for that, H.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry’s mention of Mr Haskell came two months after the former England international’s podcast co-host, Mike Tindall, took a swipe at the Duke of Sussex<\/a> during an appearance at the Hay Festival.<\/p>\n

Mr Tindall, the husband of Harry’s cousin Zara, joked about Mr Haskell’s conduct during his royal wedding to Princess Anne’s daughter in 2011 before adding: “A lot of other people managed that way better than you – [like] Harry, when he was fun.”<\/p>\n

Elsewhere on Mr Marler’s podcast, Prince Harry described his occupation: “Full-time dad, British Army veteran, Prince of England, duke. But for today, I don’t know, what do you want?”<\/p>\n

The pair eventually settled on “founder” of the Invictus Games, with Harry suggesting they could address him as “H”.<\/p>\n

Harry’s grooming habits also came under discussion during the wide-ranging conversation. <\/p>\n

Asked about his routine, the fifth in line to the throne offered a characteristically blunt response: “S**t, shower, shave.”<\/p>\n

Regarding hair maintenance, Harry explained he trims his beard “every sort of five to six days. Just to keep it a little bit tidy.”<\/p>\n

He was self-deprecating about his receding hairline, noting: “Nothing, nothing really happening on top. I get a haircut, otherwise I try not to look at what’s happening.”<\/p>\n

When Mr Marler asked what people most commonly misunderstand about him, Harry quipped: “That I’m not ginger.”<\/p>\n

He continued the joke, insisting his hair colour was “more sort of like, um, sunset… auburn.”<\/p>\n

On the subject of mental health and recovery from trauma, Harry highlighted physical activity as his primary coping mechanism.<\/p>\n

“I mean, any form of exercise is great, especially like when you’re depressed, when you’re dealing with stuff, and stressed,” he explained. “Like, you’ve got to move that s**t around the body.”<\/p>\n
