Lenny Kravitz<\/a> defies expectation. The 62-year-old has been rocking since the late \u201980s, but he looks better than plenty of guys born long after the release of his first album. Part of that is just down to genetics \u2013 not just anyone can rock leather trousers<\/a> like Lenny \u2013 but it\u2019s also a credit to the hard work he\u2019s put in<\/a> over almost 30 years of training.<\/p>\n

Exercise wasn\u2019t always something he did. He was already an internationally acclaimed rock star before he met his longtime coach, Dodd Romero, in the late \u201990s while working on his Grammy-winning 1998 album 5. That\u2019s when he started training more seriously and focused on his fitness. <\/p>\n

‘He turned me into a different human being,’ Kravitz says of his trainer.<\/p>\n

Training gives Kravitz the opportunity for growth \u2013 both physically and mentally. <\/p>\n

‘My philosophy is to push harder each day and go places I hadn\u2019t gone before,’ he says. ‘Every day has to be better than what I just did.’<\/p>\n

And yes, he looks good. But he wants anyone that questions that he\u2019s been able to achieve his physique through anything other than effort and sweat to put their doubts to rest. <\/p>\n

‘It\u2019s 100 percent real,’ he says. ‘I don\u2019t take asprin \u2013 I\u2019ve never taken anything.’<\/p>\n
