For me, I can\u2019t deliver that product for DAZN because you\u2019d laugh it out of town.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hearn said Matchroom\u2019s problem wasn\u2019t that Fisher deserved easier fights. It was that those kinds of matchups wouldn\u2019t satisfy fans watching a DAZN main event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf I headlined a show for Johnny Fischer against the guys he\u2019s going to be fighting, I would be ridiculed,\u201d said Hearn. \u201cBut you would be prepared to pay for a fight that he will be in because the fight that he is in is not good enough for my product, for DAZN\u2019s product, to put bums on seats, to make people engage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fisher was announced as a Zuffa Boxing signing on Monday, with Everything Boxing reporting that the heavyweight has agreed to a one-fight deal. Hearn suggested the new promotion\u2019s willingness to pay significantly more for lower-risk opponents made the move an easy business decision.<\/p>\n<p>Despite losing one of Matchroom\u2019s best-known British prospects, Hearn said he holds no ill will toward Fisher.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s amazing, and I\u2019m so happy for him because it\u2019s a fight that can go and pay a mortgage,\u201d said Hearn about Fisher.<\/p>\n<p>Hearn\u2019s comments also offer an early glimpse into how Zuffa Boxing may approach developing some of its fighters.
