{"id":692562,"date":"2026-07-15T07:12:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T07:12:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/692562\/"},"modified":"2026-07-15T07:12:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T07:12:08","slug":"newcastle-and-north-tyneside-peter-rabbit-art-trail-unveiled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/692562\/","title":{"rendered":"Newcastle and North Tyneside Peter Rabbit art trail unveiled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Colourful Peter Rabbit sculptures have appeared as part of a public art trail.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Peter Rabbit: Tales on the Tyne is the fourth interactive trail St Oswald&#8217;s Hospice has run since 2016 and seeks to raise money for the charity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Inspired by the famous Beatrix Potter character, 96 sculptures are dotted around Newcastle and North Tyneside until the 14 September.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">While the trail is being advertised as free, the charity&#8217;s Nikki Maguire said there was an app and sticker book which could be purchased which will go directly to helping the hospice&#8217;s running costs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 43 larger sculptures were all designed by artists and most will be auctioned off in October to raise money.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The 53 smaller sculptures were created by schools and youth groups, and will be returned to them following the trail.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Colourful Peter Rabbit sculptures have appeared as part of a public art trail.
