Just 22 years old, his five Grand Slam titles seem just the start of what will be a supremely successful career, laden with plenty more elite silverware.<\/p>\n

However, with Jannik Sinner having really risen to prominence, and even usurped him as the top-ranked and most in-form player, it seems that his dominance is now set to be shared.<\/p>\n

This budding rivalry has already had some legendary iterations, with these two poised to share major titles for fun across the next decade.<\/p>\n

With that in mind, one high-profile tennis coach has now predicted just how many Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> might finish his career with.<\/p>\n

Carlos Alcaraz told he has one trait that\u2019s the best in tennis history<\/p>\n

Taking to X, it was Rick Macci who made this claim, whilst also suggesting that there is an area of the Spaniard\u2019s game that is the greatest he has ever seen, across the entire history of the sport.<\/p>\n

And that means a lot coming from the former coach of both Serena and Venus Williams, having overseen their formative development into the superstars they would swiftly become.<\/p>\n

Everybody knows that Alcaraz is destined for greatness, and were he to retire tomorrow, his legacy would be remembered forever.<\/p>\n

That is what makes his potential even scarier, with even the records set by Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal seemingly not safe.<\/p>\n

It is this expectation to rewrite history that has led Macci to definitively claim that he predicts double-figure Grand Slam titles, whilst also noting: \u201cAlcaraz has the most versatile game we have seen in tennis history.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also worth mentioning that, with his current form at the Cincinnati Open, Alcaraz has joined Rafael Nadal on a prestigious Masters 1000 list<\/a> now.<\/p>\n

How has Carlos Alcaraz performed at the US Open recently?<\/p>\n

Having successfully defended his French Open crown, but failed to stop Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon, the US Open<\/a> marks the final opportunity for Alcaraz to claim a Grand Slam title before the year ends.<\/p>\n

However, it will be very difficult to do it in New York, with the Italian the reigning champion and seemingly unstoppable on hard courts.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, Alcaraz does have pedigree at this event, with the US Open marking his maiden title at the major level.<\/p>\n

That came in 2022, after he reached the quarter-finals the year prior in his debut at the event.<\/p>\n

His title defence the following year was solid, but he was ultimately beaten by Daniil Medvedev in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n

Last year was then, historically, his worst-ever performance at the US Open, suffering a shock second-round exit at the hands of Botic van de Zandschulp.<\/p>\n

So, with barely any points to defend at this year\u2019s US Open, Alcaraz can return to New York without pressure. That could make him even more dangerous, and a real threat to what many are already branding Sinner\u2019s title.<\/p>\n
