{"id":694019,"date":"2026-07-16T02:03:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T02:03:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/694019\/"},"modified":"2026-07-16T02:03:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T02:03:08","slug":"man-denies-breaching-order-with-emily-maitlis-letter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/694019\/","title":{"rendered":"Man denies breaching order with Emily Maitlis letter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A man has appeared in court to deny breaching a restraining order by sending Emily Maitlis a letter from prison. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Edward Vines, 56, was accused of writing, addressing and sending the letter to Maitlis from HMP Nottingham on 24 September 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The prosecution alleged the act was in breach of a restraining order put in place in September 2022. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Appearing at Nottingham Crown Court on Wednesday, Vines pleaded not guilty.
