The chance of rain affecting the 2026 F1 Belgian Grand Prix this weekend at Spa has been reduced, with only Friday currently set to be impacted by wet weather.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
At the start of the week, there was a high chance of all three days of track running in the Ardennes Forest being affected by wet weather, but 48 hours later, the forecast has changed.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
There is currently a 0% chance of rain affecting Saturday’s qualifying session and support series races, whilst Sunday’s race day now has a 28% chance of being affected by rain, this falling from an over 50% chance on Monday.\u00a0\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Friday’s practice sessions currently appear, as of 11:00 BST on Wednesday, July 15th, with a 50% or greater chance of rain throughout the afternoon, as a rain system currently in the mid-Atlantic makes landfall over France before moving across the continent, sweeping through Belgium on Friday.\u00a0\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Current forecast models are indicating that a low pressure system will form over Scandinavia on Friday night into Saturday morning, and move south into the heart of Europe heading into Sunday.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
It is predicted that this system will join up with the one set to bring rain to Spa on Friday over the Baltic Sea on Saturday evening, and then sweep into central Europe on Sunday morning.\u00a0\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
The leading edge of this system could bring localised showers to Spa and affect the Belgian GP, but the main heart of the system is to pass over Denmark and Germany before moving eastwards.\u00a0\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
Temperatures are expected to be in the high teens\u00a0to low 20s Celsius region throughout the weekend, with cloudy conditions expected.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
