{"id":695455,"date":"2026-07-16T20:41:16","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T20:41:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/695455\/"},"modified":"2026-07-16T20:41:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T20:41:16","slug":"amberside-collection-to-go-on-loan-to-newcastle-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/695455\/","title":{"rendered":"AmberSide collection to go on loan to Newcastle University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A photography and film collection is to go on loan to a university to help protect its future.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The AmberSide Collection contains more than 20,000 photographs, 100 films and paper and digital archives documenting working class communities across north-east England.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The collection was based at Newcastle&#8217;s Side gallery before it closed in 2023.
