Jeff Fenech has watched Tim Tszyu grow up since infancy, and the Australian boxing legend says he has long believed the former world champion has the potential to eclipse both him and his Hall of Fame father, Kostya Tszyu.<\/p>\n

Working alongside Tszyu for the past eight weeks has only strengthened that belief ahead of his July 26 showdown against former unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve spoken to Tim all his life, since he\u2019s a baby,\u201d Fenech said on FOX Footy and 2 More. \u201cI\u2019ll just give you a little story. When he was three months old, he had teeth. He could eat meat.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve traveled, and I\u2019ve always watched him and thought, \u2018Well, this kid is going to be the greatest Aussie fighter.\u2019 He will surpass me and his dad. I\u2019ve always thought that, and I still think that he\u2019s going to have the opportunity to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The partnership came together after the two cleared the air following Fenech\u2019s previous public criticism of Tszyu. Since joining the training camp, Fenech said he has been impressed by Tszyu\u2019s work ethic and believes technical adjustments have unlocked another level.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been in camp with him for just over eight weeks now. It\u2019s been the most amazing eight weeks of my life watching this guy give 200 percent every day,\u201d Fenech said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople say that he can\u2019t punch like his dad. It\u2019s just him getting in the positions right now and doing a few things that we\u2019ve changed. They\u2019re all going to get a shock.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tszyu welcomed Fenech\u2019s influence, saying the Hall of Famer has transformed both his preparation and his outlook.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy life has completely changed with Jeff by my side now, all for the better,\u201d Tszyu said. \u201cI come back home, and I\u2019m happy. It\u2019s an important thing. It\u2019s not just this sport. In life it\u2019s very important to come back home and be happy, and I think Jeff has been a big part of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fenech believes those changes will be evident when Tszyu faces Spence, predicting fans will see the best version of the Australian star yet.<\/p>\n
