Anthony Joshua<\/a> has been called out for a blockbuster showdown, which could materialise after his long-awaited clash with Tyson Fury<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The two British heavyweights are expected to finally collide in 2026, but only if they come through their respective warm-up fights later this month.<\/p>\n

First, Fury will face the 46-year-old Mariusz Wach in Pattaya, Thailand, on July 24, despite having blown away the cobwebs with a unanimous decision victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.<\/p>\n

Then, a day later, Joshua must defeat the largely unproven Kristian Prenga in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, entering his first fight since stopping Jake Paul in six rounds.<\/p>\n

Tragically, though, this victory in December was followed by a car crash that took the lives of his two close friends, which partly explains why he has opted for a warm-up fight.<\/p>\n

But while the 36-year-old must remain focused on Prenga, and then Fury, it just so happens that Andy Ruiz Jr is angling for a rubber match.<\/p>\n

The Mexican-American scored a stunning seventh-round finish over Joshua<\/a> in 2019 to become unified world heavyweight champion, only to lose his titles via a unanimous decision in their immediate rematch.<\/p>\n

But now, it appears that Ruiz is determined to truly settle the score, calling \u2018AJ\u2019 out for a trilogy by way of a social media diss track<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cJoshua, I\u2019ll knock you down so I finish your work. Bro, you\u2019re funny like a clown. Tell me what is your worth?<\/p>\n

The rematch was a joke he just ran he didn\u2019t so s**t to me, it\u2019s one and one so let me know when you\u2019re ready for the trilogy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having just inked a multi-fight deal with Eddie Hearn\u2019s Matchroom Boxing<\/a>, an eventual Joshua trilogy is hardly unrealistic as Ruiz ends a two-year hiatus this September when he takes on Damian Knyba<\/a> at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.<\/p>\n
