If completed, it would become Volendam&#8217;s second-highest transfer fee received, behind Micky van de Ven&#8217;s move to Wolfsburg in 2021 (\u20ac8.5m).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The report adds that personal terms are not yet fully agreed, but that no issues are expected. Eredivisie outfit FC Twente had registered interest in the past, as had Valencia. The La Liga side had already agreed terms of a five-year deal, but they were unable to offer a suitable transfer fee to the Eerste Divisie club.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The EADT and Ipswich Star understand that, while Ipswich aren&#8217;t yet at a stage of finalising a deal and agreeing a medical for Van Oevelen, they continue to aggressively pursue him and remain confident of getting a deal done.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The same can be said of Leicester City&#8217;s Abdul Fatawu, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eadt.co.uk\/sport\/26287288.ipswich-town---blues-make-approach-leicesters-abdul-fatawu\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">amid reports that Town have had a bid rejected<\/a> for the winger.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Van Oevelen kept three clean sheets in 32 games as Volendam finished in the Eredivisie relegation play-off spot. They were subsequently beaten by Willem II on penalties, confirming their return to the second division.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The 6&#8217;6 goalkeeper boasted the highest save percentage (74.5%) and the most saves per 90 (4.70) in the Dutch top flight last season.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Ipswich will hope to secure a deal ahead of next week&#8217;s training camp in La Manga, Spain.
