Hampshire’s Liam Dawson and Somerset’s Tom Banton will be released from England’s one-day international squad to play in Saturday’s T20 Blast Finals Day, their counties have said. <\/p>\n

They have been part of Brendon McCullum’s squad currently taking on India in an ODI series, with the third and final game set for Sunday at Lord’s. <\/p>\n

Banton is yet to start in the series but Dawson played in the first ODI defeat<\/a> before missing Thursday’s four-wicket win<\/a> in Cardiff.<\/p>\n

Hampshire and Somerset made it to Finals Day with entertaining quarter-final wins – the Hawks saw off Essex at Utilita Bowl by 75 runs, while defending champions Somerset dramatically beat Yorkshire<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Banton was released by England for that quarter-final but disappointed with the bat, dismissed for one run off five balls. <\/p>\n

Dawson was not granted to play for Hampshire in their quarter-final having produced some career-best numbers for England in the first ODI against India the day before. <\/p>\n

The left-hand spinner scored 68 runs – his highest score for England in any format – then bowled just two overs. <\/p>\n

Finals Day gets underway at Edgbaston at 11:00 BST with the first semi-final between Northamptonshire Steelbacks and Somerset. <\/p>\n

Hampshire Hawks will then take on Notts Outlaws at 14:30, before the final at 18:45. <\/p>\n
