It looks like a budget band with no screen, aimed at rivalling the $99 Fitbit Air, with prominent Garmin branding.

An anonymous source has posted two images of the Garmin CIRQA found whilst browsing the Connect IQ app. The images come via Andre at Garmin News and have not been verified as genuine, but after some testing, I believe they are real.

What the images show

The images are claimed by Garmin News to be from Garmin Connect IQ (the store app) when a compatible device is added. They are more likely from Garmin Connect. I was unable to find the same images with repeated searches, so your region might return different results.

Technical analysis: Are they real?

I looked at both images closely. They look real.

In the first image, I tested the brightness of the GARMIN letters going down the band. The letters get darker at the same rate as the band surface behind them. A logo that was pasted on later would usually stay the same brightness all the way down. There is also no glow, no odd edges, and no smeared texture around the letters, and the Garmin logo shape is correct.

In the second image, the search screen looks normal throughout: the background lines run smoothly behind the CIRQA name, the fonts match, the cursor looks right, and the small “ci” being typed in lowercase while the result shows “CIRQA” in capitals is just how these apps display things. I found no sign of fake superimposition.

That said, both files have been heavily compressed, and I cannot rule out the possibility that a whole image was made by AI and just happens to look consistent.

Other thoughts

At first glance, it looks similar to the Vivosmart 5 but with a differently textured band and no visible screen.

If this design is real, it looks very much like a band aimed at the cheaper end of the market, unlike Whoop, whose core is a premium strap. With the Vivosmart 5 coming in at $149.99 with a screen, this band style might suggest a similar or even cheaper price (as the CIRQA has no screen).

This would further suggest Garmin is going for the volume market, but at $99 for the Fitbit Air, that is going to be a tricky call for Garmin to win new customers, though a good price point for existing Garmin owners wanting a complementary sleep and activity tracker for non-sports use or occasional sports use.

Vivosmart 5 is 20mm wide, but to me, this feels wider, perhaps 22mm.

The one oddity that stands out is the vertical Garmin branding. It is highly prominent and a bit naff. That is not the sort of in-your-face advertising I would want to pay to put on my wrist.

What do you think?

Quick answers

What is the Garmin CIRQA?
The Garmin CIRQA is a screenless fitness and activity band that appeared in two leaked images. Garmin has not announced it, so its specifications and price are not confirmed. The images point to a budget band that would compete with screenless trackers such as the Fitbit Air.

Does the Garmin CIRQA have a screen?
The leaked images show no display. The module face carries only the Garmin wordmark, which points to a screenless design in the manner of the Fitbit Air and Whoop. Data would be read in the Garmin Connect app rather than on the band.

When will the Garmin CIRQA be released?
Garmin has not confirmed the CIRQA or given a release date. The device has appeared in the Garmin app add-device list, which suggests development is advanced, but that does not guarantee a launch.

How much will the Garmin CIRQA cost?
There is no official price. The Vivosmart 5 launched at $149.99 with a screen, and the Fitbit Air sells for $99.99 without one. A screenless Garmin band would plausibly sit at or below the Vivosmart 5 price.

Are the leaked Garmin CIRQA images genuine?
Garmin has not verified the images. A close inspection found no signs of manipulation, including consistent lighting on the Garmin wordmark and an intact app interface. Heavy file compression means authenticity cannot be confirmed from the pixels alone.

How does the Garmin CIRQA compare to the Fitbit Air and Whoop?
All three are screenless bands read through a phone app. The Fitbit Air costs $99.99 with no mandatory subscription, and Whoop is a premium strap built around a paid membership. A budget Garmin band would compete most directly with the Fitbit Air on price.

Last Updated on 18 July 2026 by the5krunner

My favourite kit and nutrition

Injinji – Runners protect your toes.
