The Rolling Stones have pulled level with The Beatles for number one records.<\/p>\n
The band, which formed in London more than six decades ago, landed their 15th chart-topping album, according to the Official Charts Company.<\/p>\n
The 14-track record \u2013 titled Foreign Tongues \u2013 follows on from their 2023 release Hackney Diamonds, and has been widely praised by critics as a late-career peak.<\/p>\n
The record was released on Friday and has already shot to the top of the charts, meaning the Grammy-winning group has now earned the same amount of number one albums as fellow 1960s rockers The Beatles.<\/p>\n
The group is widely regarded as one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time, and is comprised of singer Sir Mick Jagger and guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood.<\/p>\n
The official albums chart has also seen December 10 secure the highest-charting debut for a British boy band in six years with On Your Side \u2013 which is at number five.<\/p>\n
The English-Irish pop group were formed by music mogul Simon Cowell in 2025 as part of his Netflix documentary The Next Act, which saw him on the hunt for the next hit boy band.<\/p>\n

The seven-member ensemble said their top 10 feat is \u201cstill hard to get our heads around\u201d, adding: \u201cSeeing our name in the official albums chart alongside artists like The Rolling Stones is a proper pinch-me moment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThen you go to a record shop signing and there are hundreds of people waiting to meet you and get their record or CD signed.\u201cThose are the moments that make you stop and think, \u2018Wow\u2026 this is really actually happening.’\u201d<\/p>\n
December 10 \u2013 comprised of Cruz Lee-Ojo, Hendrik Christoffersen, John Fadare, Josh Olliver, Nicolas Alves, Sean Hayden and Danny Bretherton \u2013 also described their new album as a \u201chuge milestone for us\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe hope there\u2019s a song on there that everyone can connect with, whatever they\u2019re going through,\u201d they said.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere on the official albums chart, US rock band My Chemical Romance sits at number two with a remastered version of their 2010 record Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys.<\/p>\n
Following at number three is Olivia Rodrigo with her chart-topping album You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love \u2013 which landed her the biggest opening week of her career after its release last month.<\/p>\n
Michael Jackson\u2019s compilation album The Essential is at four, amid an ongoing resurgence of the late singer sparked by the release of a biopic film depicting the King of Pop\u2019s life.<\/p>\n
Over on the UK singles chart, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean\u2019s award-winning hit Rein Me In is enjoying a 17th non-consecutive week at the summit.<\/p>\n
The track has overtaken Bryan Adams\u2019 long-running number one (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, which sat at the top of the charts for 16 consecutive weeks in 1991.<\/p>\n
It is one week away from equalling Frankie Laine\u2019s 1953 hit I Believe in enjoying the most weeks at number one ever, and was recently crowned the longest-running number one single of all time by a British act.<\/p>\n
Oasis\u2019 Wonderwall, which has been adopted by England fans throughout the 2026 Fifa World Cup as an unofficial anthem for the men\u2019s national team, sits at two.<\/p>\n
It comes after Thomas Tuchel\u2019s men suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 loss against Argentina during the semi-final match on Wednesday, dashing England\u2019s hopes of ending a 60-year wait for World Cup glory.<\/p>\n
Three Lions by David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and the Lightning Seeds \u2013 which has been a football anthem since its 1996 release, is at three as World Cup fever takes over the charts.<\/p>\n
It is followed by Talk To You by Anotr\/54 Ultra at four, while the official anthem of the football tournament \u2013 Dai Dai by Shakira and Burna Boy \u2013 rounds off the top five.<\/p>\n
