Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal<\/a> have tried to bring Yan Diomande to the Emirates Stadium, but the winger has a deal in place with Paris Saint-Germain instead.<\/p>\n

Arsenal\u2019s plan to sign a left-winger is in tatters at the moment, with Morgan Rogers set to join Chelsea in a \u00a3117million deal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Rogers<\/a> has picked Chelsea over Arsenal and will undergo a medical at the Blues next Monday.<\/p>\n

Chelsea<\/a> will pay Aston Villa<\/a> an eye-watering transfer fee of \u00a3117million for Rogers, who can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger.<\/p>\n

This will come as a huge blow for Arsenal<\/a>, who had been working on a deal for the 23-year-old for months.<\/p>\n

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano<\/a> has now revealed that Arsenal have suffered a setback in their pursuit of Yan Diomande<\/a> as well.<\/p>\n

The Italian journalist has reported that Arsenal have made \u201ccalls\u201d to sign the RB Leipzig winger in the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

However, the Ivory Coast international winger already has a deal in place with PSG<\/a> over personal terms, with last season\u2019s Ligue 1 and Champions League winners trying to strike an agreement with Leipzig.<\/p>\n

Arsenal suffer Yan Diomande transfer blow<\/p>\n

Romano said on his\u00a0YouTube channel<\/a>: \u201cThen talking about the wingers\u2019 market, we have to see how Arsenal will react \u2013 wingers and strikers \u2013 because this depends on opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor example, just to give you some context, Arsenal over the last few days made some checks with the agents of Yan Diomande from Red Bull Leipzig to understand if there was still a chance to enter the deal.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut don\u2019t forget Diomande has an agreement on personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, and Paris Saint-Germain are in negotiations with Leipzig.<\/p>\n

Romano has also revealed that Arsenal were never going to pay more than \u00a3100m for Rogers.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Arsenal, the value, the realistic value of the player was around \u00a390m, \u00a3100m maximum.<\/p>\n
