After years of working in the fitness industry, running her own gym and practicing yoga, one local fitness professional is now preparing to open the doors to a new studio in Westward Ho!<\/p>\n
Jenifer Franks is set to open Moku, an independent yoga and movement space after months of building the studio from the ground up.<\/p>\n
Jenifer, said: \u201cMoku was created to be a highly supportive, ego-free cocoon away from traditional gym culture, but it is rooted entirely in substance. I am stepping away from the watered-down versions of wellness to offer a space where people can focus on authentic, purposeful movement.\u201d<\/p>\n
Moku is a culmination of Jenifer\u2019s experience as a qualified personal trainer and fitness coach. Jenifer previously owned a specialised personal training gym in Cornwall and has practiced yoga for over 10 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy training bridges the gap between functional strength and traditional yoga, and that combination is exactly what drives the ethos of the studio.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether we are building genuine structural strength through a demanding physical practice, or doing the equally challenging work of serious nervous system regulation, it is a sanctuary built on real focus and effort.\u201d<\/p>\n
The timetable will include dynamic Vinyasa flows, athletic conditioning, and restorative Yin practices that specifically target the deep connective tissues and challenge the mind to sit in absolute stillness.<\/p>\n
Alongside regular classes, Jen will bring in specialists to host dedicated workshops, including Pre and Postnatal sessions with a doula and specialised yoga teacher, as well as a specific Wellbeing for Healthcare Workers workshop hosted by a registered nurse.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile Moku is my vision, it is built entirely around the wider community. I am expanding the timetable by bringing in a roster of wonderfully talented local teachers who share this ethos. I am also proudly collaborating with local creatives to bring the physical space to life, which will include hosting an art expo with a brilliant local artist right inside the studio.\u201d<\/p>\n
To kick things off, Jenifer and the teachers at the studio will host a celebration on August 31 where locals can pop in, see the new sanctuary, and take part in 15-minute taster classes.<\/p>\n
