Devin Haney<\/a> is yet to fight this year, but \u2018The Dream\u2019 has been linked to a showdown with Shakur Stevenson<\/a>, who recently signed with Zuffa Boxing. Now, Haney\u2019s most fierce rival, Ryan Garcia<\/a>, has predicted how he would fare against the Newark southpaw.<\/p>\n

Stevenson rose the pound-for-pound rankings with a win over Teofimo Lopez<\/a> at the beginning of the year, but he has struggled to secure a fight since, despite links to Garcia, Conor Benn and most recently, Haney<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Haney\u2019s last outing came in November 2025, when he captured the WBO welterweight world title by putting an end to Brian Norman Jr\u2019s undefeated record to become a three-division world champion, but he has been ordered for a clash with Keyshawn Davis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Should both retain their titles, fans remain hopeful that Haney and Garcia may rematch one another in a grudge match unification next year, following on from their controversial 2024 no-contest.<\/p>\n

Yet, speaking with Fight Hub TV<\/a>, Garcia admitted that he believes Stevenson would trump Haney in a \u2018tough fight\u2019, but appreciated that Haney\u2019s size would make it difficult for the reigning WBO super-lightweight world champion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know why they are fighting, but it\u2019s a big fight if they get it done. That\u2019s a tough fight for both of \u2018em, hope that the best man wins.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy first instinct says that Shakur will win, but Devin is a big guy. He\u2019s a big dude, so we will see how that goes.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
