Only a few weeks ago, Katy Perry<\/a> released a new single, \u201cWatch It Burn,\u201d hoping to capitalize on a viral resurgence she enjoyed earlier in 2026. \u201cThe One That Got Away,\u201d a decade-plus-old favorite from her hugely successful Teenage Dream era, picked up steam on TikTok and became a surprise chart hit all over again.<\/p>\n \u201cWatch It Burn\u201d has thus far underperformed, as it has only managed to reach one radio ranking in America. While the song has yet to become a strong streamer or bestseller in the nation, Perry does claim three charting hits this week. <\/p>\n Amazingly, each of those tracks rises to a new high on every list where they currently appear. At the same time, Teenage Dream surges on two albums rosters and even brings the Grammy nominee to a new career peak on one tally she only reached for the first time recently.<\/p>\n \u201cThe One That Got Away\u201d Reaches New Global Peaks<\/p>\n \u201cThe One That Got Away\u201d<\/a> is Perry\u2019s only song that is currently found on multiple charts. The former single rises on both the Billboard Global 200<\/a> and Billboard Global Excl. U.S.<\/a>, Billboard\u2019s two worldwide rankings.<\/p>\n The Billboard Global 200 measures the most-consumed songs around the planet using sales and streaming activity from territories throughout the world. The Billboard Global Excl. U.S. employs a similar methodology, but American consumption is not included in its methodology.<\/p>\n 15 weeks into its run \u2013 which began long after it was selected as the sixth Teenage Dream single \u2013 \u201cThe One That Got Away\u201d pushes from No. 28 to No. 23 on the Billboard Global 200. It simultaneously advances five spaces to No. 17 on Billboard Global Excl. (Photo by Neil Mockford\/GC Images)<\/p>\n GC Images<\/p>\n Both of those spaces mark new peaks for the track and Perry. \u201cThe One That Got Away\u201d became the singer\u2019s highest-charting hit on the two relatively young worldwide tallies this spring, and every time it lifts to a new lofty position, the singer does as well.<\/p>\n \u201cLast Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)\u201d Climbs Again<\/p>\n Another Teenage Dream smash also continues to grow globally. \u201cLast Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)\u201d<\/a> steps up three spaces to No. 184 on the Billboard Global 200, establishing a new high in its third week on the ranking. The song does not appear on Billboard Global Excl. U.S. at the moment. It remains Perry\u2019s lowest-peaking hit on the Billboard Global 200, though it has only just begun its run on the roster.<\/p>\n Teenage Dream Surges to a New Streaming Chart Peak<\/p>\n As a pair of songs featured on its tracklist rise on the worldwide rosters, Teenage Dream surges up the Top Streaming Albums chart. The roster ranks full-lengths and EPs based on total plays on streaming platforms in the U.S. alone.<\/p>\n Perry\u2019s blockbuster improves from No. 33 to No. 28, reaching a new high in its seventeenth week on the streaming-focused tally. Teenage Dream is the only one of the pop singer\u2019s collections to appear on the ranking, so its latest gain also pushes Perry to a new career peak.<\/p>\n The album enjoys an even larger gain on the Billboard 200. Teenage Dream advances 10 spaces to No. 33 on the main albums chart in America. The former No. 1 has now spent 478 weeks on the Billboard 200, and if it can find space on the roster for much of the coming year \u2013 which seems likely \u2013 Teenage Dream will become Perry\u2019s first release to reach the relatively rare 500-week milestone.<\/p>\n \u201cWatch It Burn\u201d Climbs at Pop Radio<\/p>\n
