Here\u2019s what to expect.<\/p>\n<p>RC builds signal Apple\u2019s 26.6 updates are about to launch<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1784573590_39_apple-devices-lineup-liquid-glass.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1039039\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple\u2019s major new software versions like iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS Golden Gate, and more are set for <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/06\/08\/ios-27-release-date-when-next-major-iphone-update-is-coming\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"1047043\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">fall releases<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But much sooner than that, there\u2019s another round of updates coming for the current \u2018OS 26\u2019 cycle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">iOS 26.6, iPadOS 26.6, macOS 26.6, and more will <a href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2026\/07\/01\/ios-26-6-release-date-heres-when-the-new-iphone-update-is-coming\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"1059181\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">launch very soon<\/a>. And today, the RC versions of these updates arrived.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple has shipped RC (release candidate) versions of its whole lineup of forthcoming 26.6 updates, including iPadOS 26.6, watchOS 26.6, tvOS 26.6, and more.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RC versions come at the end of a beta testing period. They\u2019re intended to match the exact software builds that launch shortly afterward to the public.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s not unusual, however, for Apple to discover additional bugs that lead to revised RC versions debuting with last-minute fixes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In any case, now that Apple has RC versions of its 26.6 updates ready, we should see those new releases launch in roughly the next week or so.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So far in the beta cycle, these updates seem focused largely on under-the-hood improvements rather than new features.
