Jack Osbourne has shared a request to fans honouring Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> on the first-ever \u2018Ozzy Day\u2019 tomorrow (Wednesday July 22). Find all the details below.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, it was announced that the city of Birmingham, Ozzy\u2019s hometown, will come together to celebrate the late Prince of Darkness to mark the one-year anniversary of his death<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, Ozzy\u2019s son Jack has detailed a request for the day in a new Instagram video, where he told fans the month has been \u201cups and downs\u201d and \u201ca mixed bag of emotions\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cA lot of people have asked me what my plan is for the 22nd. Am I gonna do anything? And I don\u2019t know,\u201d he said. \u201cThis is the first time for me. This is first one year. So I\u2019ve been sat around and I\u2019ve been thinking a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHere\u2019s what I want,\u201d he continues. \u201cI would like anyone who\u2019s listening to this, anyone who is compelled, anyone who just wants to share a story about my dad to share a story. Whether it\u2019s the first time you listened to his music, the first time you saw him play live or a time you saw him play live where something stood out to you. Or you had an actual encounter with him. Or whether you just want to talk about what his music meant to you. That\u2019s what I want. I want to fill the entire day of July 22 with just awesome Ozzy stories.\u201d<\/p>\n

He concludes, \u201cSo yeah, that\u2019s my ask. Please, get thinking, get posting, spread the love. That\u2019s what my dad would want. He would not want us to all be sat around shedding tears because that\u2019s not his vibe. He did not like people crying in front of him. So yeah, spread the love that way and if you use the hashtag #OzzyDay, I\u2019ll see it and I\u2019ll be looking out for it. So here\u2019s to Ozzy Day.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to a post on\u00a0Central BID Birmingham<\/a>\u2018s official Instagram page, the day will feature a free \u201ccity centre programme of music, memories and tributes\u201d to Osbourne.<\/p>\n

Fans can also expect a public art series dedicated to the\u00a0Black Sabbath<\/a> icon, as well as special live performances and shared moments nodding to his \u201clife, legacy and Birmingham roots\u201d.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year,\u00a0Sharon Osbourne shared plans for the Ozzy exhibition in Birmingham to\u00a0\u201ctour the world\u201d with his \u201cpersonal\u201d items<\/a>. She previously revealed that\u00a0she was \u201cseriously thinking\u201d about running to be the next Mayor of Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

After Ozzy died last summer, aged 76,\u00a0fans pushed to rename Birmingham Airport in his honour<\/a>, and put a petition forward on\u00a0Change.org<\/a>. He was\u00a0posthumously given the Birmingham Lord Mayor\u2019s Award<\/a>\u00a0on what would have been his 77th birthday last December.<\/p>\n

Ozzy\u2019s death came just 17 days after\u00a0he played his final-ever live show as a soloist and with Black Sabbath at Birmingham\u2019s Villa Park<\/a>.\u00a0His death certificate confirmed his cause of death to be a heart attack<\/a>, while also citing coronary heart disease and Parkinson\u2019s.\u00a0The document listed his occupation as \u201cSongwriter, Performer and Rock Legend\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In February,\u00a0Ozzy was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BRITs 2026<\/a>\u00a0in Manchester.<\/p>\n

Sharon shared a tribute to her late husband on their first wedding anniversary since his death<\/a>\u00a0earlier this month. Previously,\u00a0she responded to those who were calling an upcoming AI avatar of Ozzy a \u201ccash grab\u201d<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 telling them that she \u201cdoesn\u2019t need your fucking money\u201d.<\/p>\n
