Playing in particularly brutal fashion down the ground,\u00a0Lategan\u00a0slammed two drives for four back over the bowlers\u2019 head before turning a full ball into the legside for a single, which\u00a0took him to a fine century that came at better than a run-a-ball.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Swiftly followed by his skipper, who eased his way to fifty,\u00a0the pair put their foot down and began to shift through the gears in an enterprising\u00a0partnership.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The\u00a0pair made 161 for the third wicket, before Libby came unstuck 19-runs\u00a0short of\u00a0a well-deserved ton, caught\u00a0at long on\u00a0for\u00a0a fluent 68-ball-81 that included seven fours and a six.\u00a0<\/p>\n
261-3 soon became 287-4 when\u00a0Lategan\u2019s\u00a0remarkable cameo was finally\u00a0brought to a close, with the\u00a0opener misjudging an inventive reverse sweep that saw him bowled\u00a0by Ben Chapman-Lilley\u00a0for 148.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
