{"id":704448,"date":"2026-07-22T02:20:49","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T02:20:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/704448\/"},"modified":"2026-07-22T02:20:49","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T02:20:49","slug":"new-east-lothian-base-for-stephen-gallacher-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/704448\/","title":{"rendered":"New East Lothian base for Stephen Gallacher Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  First Tee and the Stephen Gallacher Foundation announced the partnership ahead of the prestigious course hosting the Genesis Scottish Open.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  With a unique programme of skills coaching and personal development activities aimed at developing children both on and off the golf course, First Tee \u2013 Scotland will build on the successful work that the Stephen Gallacher Foundation has built up over the past 15 years.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastlothiancourier.com\/sport\/national\/19707061.european-tour-rebrand-such-positive-boost-golf-says-stephen-gallacher\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Stephen Gallacher<\/a>, who won four European Tour events between 2004 and 2019, said: \u201cI am really excited that my Foundation and First Tee will be working together as a driving force to create programmes and experiences for boys and girls throughout Scotland.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cThis expansion plan is our most significant development since we launched the Foundation 15 years ago and I know the huge impact this will have on junior golf in Scotland and more specifically for the kids taking part.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The new initiative will be based in a custom-built, permanent structure next to the existing practice facilities at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eastlothiancourier.com\/news\/26277374.record-attendance-figures-genesis-scottish-open\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Renaissance Club<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It will be home to all-weather bays and internal practice areas with Trackman and video facilities.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In addition to the new headquarters, there will be satellite bases across Scotland to support the programme expansion throughout the country.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Jerry Sarvadi, chairman of The Renaissance Club Charitable Foundation, was excited by the development.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  He said: \u201cI have been a fan of First Tee and everything they have achieved from the very start, and I have followed their progress with great interest over the years.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cI have also seen first-hand the work that Stephen and his team have carried out in the Lothians, and it is clear that they are both perfectly aligned.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  \u201cWe are proud that they have chosen The Renaissance Club as their base, and I am looking forward to supporting their exciting plans.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"First Tee and the Stephen Gallacher Foundation announced the partnership ahead of the prestigious course hosting the Genesis&hellip;\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":704449,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[39],"tags":[5904,101,56,54,55],"class_list":["post-704448","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-golf","tag-golf","tag-sports","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/704448","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/2"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=704448"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/704448\/revisions"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/704449"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=704448"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=704448"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=704448"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
