{"id":705244,"date":"2026-07-22T12:57:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-22T12:57:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/705244\/"},"modified":"2026-07-22T12:57:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-22T12:57:08","slug":"tyson-fury-v-mariusz-wach-briton-takes-aim-at-modern-day-sports-stars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/705244\/","title":{"rendered":"Tyson Fury v Mariusz Wach: Briton takes aim at modern-day sports stars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Friday&#8217;s contest will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/boxing\/articles\/crk50jm7254o\" class=\"ssrcss-1fqyhkk-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">not be broadcast live<\/a> and will instead feature as part of the third series of the Netflix documentary &#8216;At Home with the Furys&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The proposed Fury-Joshua fight has been more than a decade in the making, with contracts already signed for a contest expected later this year, although a venue has yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Wach has lost seven of his past 10 fights and is a significant underdog on paper, but Fury insisted the veteran presents a sterner test than Joshua&#8217;s opponent, Albanian Prenga.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Let me tell you, Mariusz Wach would put his fist through Joshua&#8217;s opponent, whoever he is,&#8221; Fury said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;This man would knock him spark out. He&#8217;s a real fighting man. We&#8217;re not interested in other people. This is my show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I&#8217;m not interested in what&#8217;s going on elsewhere with Joshua or [Deontay] Wilder or [Oleksandr] Usyk or anybody. This is about me and Mariusz, not about anybody else.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;What happens beyond Friday is none of my concern.
