Pure Joy! to Liverpool in new exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Renowned graphic artist <a href=\"https:\/\/anthonyburrill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Anthony Burrill<\/a> is bringing his distinctive brand of optimistic typography to Liverpool this summer with Joy! Pure Joy!, a new exhibition at independent design studio Dorothy that marks his first ever solo show in the city.<\/p>\n<p>Running from July 24 to August 28 at Dorothy\u2019s Baltic Triangle studio gallery, the exhibition presents a selection of Burrill\u2019s best-known works on paper, spanning more than two decades of his practice.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-266013 lazyload\" alt=\"Anthony Burrill Joy! Yellow Poster\" width=\"1767\" height=\"2500\" data-img-id=\"266013\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Anthony_Burrill_Joy_Pure_Joy_Yellow_Poster.jpg\"  data- load=\"lazy\" fetchpriority=\"low\" data-index=\"1\"\/>All images \u00a9 Anthony Burrill<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the iconic 2004 letterpress print Work Hard &amp; Be Nice To People \u2013 the now ubiquitous mantra that has become synonymous with the designer\u2019s practice \u2013 visitors will also see more recent editions including Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow, a series reflecting on time, perspective and everyday optimism.<\/p>\n<p>Known for his bold typography, pared-back compositions and uplifting messages, Burrill has built an international reputation for graphic work that balances simplicity with emotional resonance. His prints, books and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.creativereview.co.uk\/anthony-burrill-leeds-mural\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">public murals<\/a> have become enduring fixtures of contemporary visual culture, with themes of positivity and community running throughout his practice.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition also serves as the launch pad for an exclusive new collection created in collaboration with Dorothy. The eponymously titled range comprises affordable limited-edition screen prints and T-shirts available exclusively through the exhibition, before the prints go on general sale online from July 24. A new mural will also be unveiled in Liverpool\u2019s Baltic Triangle on July 23.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have admired Anthony\u2019s work from afar for years, so are overjoyed to be showing and selling a selection of his most popular pieces in our studio gallery this summer,\u201d says Dorothy.<\/p>\n<p>Joy!
