Everything they’ve created has tinged modern music such that it would be foolish to claim you aren’t a fan of the band in either a direct or indirect capacity.

But Wolfhard is firmly in the camp of the former, directly professing his love for the band to an almost endless degree. In fact, during his episode of Far Out’s ‘Existential Boozer’, he revealed that of all his most treasured possessions, of which his Stranger Things bike is included, it was in fact a first edition copy of The Beatles’ White Album that tops the list.

A fitting album for Wolfhard, who has recently been sharing his renewed love for that record. The expanse and bravery of this seemingly speaks to a man on the cusp of his own artistic change, leaving behind the limiting expectation of those determined to keep him in his Stranger Things box and now embracing the liberated freedom of his own self-produced musical career.

The vibrant sense of experimentalism that existed on that record, just after Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and not long before Abbey Road, feels almost perfect for Finn and generally any music fan at roughly 23 years of age. There is an excitement to what The Beatles are doing in that moment that captures the endless opportunity of youth and the subtle rebellion of leaving conservatism behind.

But despite all of that, Wolfhard’s favourite Beatles track does indeed go back to the beginning. While admitting that “It changes so much, and ‘In My Life’, is “probably the best-written” Beatles song, he completely flipped the script.

Wolfhard continued, “But a favourite of mine is probably ‘Ticket to Ride’ or something. That was my first introduction into The Beatles. But there’s so many obviously amazing songs off every album, it’s kind of nuts.”

Further reading: From The Vault

While featuring on Help!, an album at the latter end of that early Beatles era, ‘Ticket To Ride’ still feels like a firm soundtrack to the innocent youth of the band and almost a far cry from the wisdom of his other choice, ‘In My Life’.

It’s relatively surprising, given how much there is in the way of experimentalism and what sort of music has ended up influencing Wolfhard’s debut album, Fire From The Hip. But maybe, like his acting career, there has been something to learn from the innocence of youth?

Surely, like any Beatles fan worth his salt and as a musician himself, the choice will soon flip to something different. There’s no way of ever having one favourite Beatles song, for the options are positively endless, and as Wolfhard embarks on a music career that is set to change frequently, don’t be surprised to see a new favourite mentioned soon.

ADD AS A PREFERRED SOURCE ON GOOGLE The Far Out Beatles Newsletter

All the latest stories about The Beatles from the independent voice of culture.
Straight to your inbox.

Credit: Press Thu 23 July 2026 23:30, UK If there’s one thing that has become abundantly clear in…

[28
19405,148426,6492,177457,58176,96,107971,25396,128,16466,6470,51145,10447,56,54,55
post-708044","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-music","tag-1960s","tag-148426","tag-2020s","tag-british-rock","tag-classic-rock","tag-entertainment","tag-finn-wolfhard","tag-john-lennon","tag-music","tag-new-music","tag-paul-mccartney","tag-stranger-things","tag-the-beatles","tag-uk","tag-united-kingdom","tag-unitedkingdom
["GET
