Mary Kate Golding, the set decorator behind hit shows including The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Goosebumps and Mr. and Mrs. Smith, has died aged 34 after she was fatally stabbed in her New York<\/a> home.<\/p>\n Police discovered Golding with a stab wound to her back after responding to a 911 call reporting an assault at her apartment in Astoria, Queens, shortly after midnight on Tuesday.<\/p>\n Emergency responders pronounced her dead at the scene.<\/p>\n In a statement, the NYPD said: \u2018On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at approximately 0024 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault i\u2018\u2018\u2018\u2018\u2018nside of 18-64 41 Street, within the confines of the 114 Precinct.<\/p>\n \u2018Upon arrival, officers observed a 34-year-old female victim with a stab wound to the back. EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.\u2019<\/p>\n Just hours later, police were called to nearby Astoria Park, where an unconscious man was found.<\/p>\n The NYPD said officers responded at approximately 6.39am and discovered an unidentified man, believed to be aged between 30 and 35, unresponsive inside the park. He was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n \t\t Multiple US media outlets have identified the man as Golding\u2019s husband, Joseph Azzaretto, reporting that he died by hanging and that investigators are treating the deaths as a suspected murder-suicide.<\/p>\n Police have not publicly confirmed his identity or announced a motive, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n The couple\u2019s baby son was found inside the family home but was unharmed, according to reports.<\/p>\n Golding had built an impressive career in film and television after graduating from New York University.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tDomestic abuse helpline\t\t\t<\/p>\n If you are in immediate danger call 999.
