\n\tSam Fender <\/a>and Olivia Dean\u2019s \u201cRein Me In\u201d<\/a> has tied the all-time record for the U.K.\u2019s longest-running No. 1 single (July 24).<\/p>\n

\n\tWith its 18th non-consecutive week at the summit on the Official Singles Chart<\/a>, it is now tied with Frankie Laine\u2019s \u201cI Believe\u201d (1953) as the all-time leader.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe song was first released in February 2025 on Fender\u2019s People Watching<\/a> LP with Dean joining for a remix of the song in June of last year. It then went on a record-breaking 35-week rise to the summit of the charts and won song of the year at the 2026 BRIT Awards. \u201cRein Me In\u201d is Fender\u2019s first U.K. No. 1 single and Dean\u2019s second (\u201cMan I Need\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tOn its journey to the top \u201cRein Me In\u201d has smashed a number of records, becoming the longest-running No. 1 of the 21st century (previously Drake\u2019s \u201cHotline Bling,\u201d 15 weeks) and the longest by a British act (Wet Wet Wet\u2019s \u201cLove Is All Around\u201d, 15 weeks). It also surpassed Bryan Adams\u2019 1991 song \u201c(Everything I Do) I Do It For You\u201d which landed 16 weeks and was previously in second place.<\/p>\n

\n\tOnly a handful of songs have dethroned \u201cRein Me In\u201d from the top since its run began in February: Harry Styles (\u201cAmerican Girls,\u201d one week), Olivia Rodrigo (\u201cDrop Dead,\u201d one week; \u201cThe Cure,\u201d one week) Ariana Grande (\u201cHate That I Made You Love Me,\u201d one week) and Taylor Swift (\u2018I Knew It, I Knew You,\u201d one week).<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing their performance at the half-time show during the FIFA World Cup Final<\/a>, Shakira<\/a> and Burna Boy<\/a>\u2019s \u201cDai Dai\u201d is up to a new peak at No. 2. ANOTR and 54 Ultra also capitalize on the summer vibes as \u201cTalk To You\u201d rises to No. 3. Olivia Rodrigo\u2019s \u201cStupid Song\u201d lifts two spots from last week to No. 6, while Ella Langley\u2019s Hot 100-topper \u201cChoosin\u2019 Texas\u201d is up to No. 5.<\/p>\n
