\n The NHS England GP Patient Survey asked patients to rate their GP practices on measures such as appointment access, communication with healthcare professionals, and overall care quality.\n<\/p>\n

\n This year, 25 surgeries in the borough were included. The survey, conducted between January and April, allowed patients to rate their overall experience, ranging from “very good” to “very poor.”\n<\/p>\n

\n In Lewisham, Woolstone Medical Centre emerged as the highest-rated surgery, with 93 per cent of patients stating their overall experience was “good.”\n<\/p>\n

\n Nightingale Surgery and Oakview Family Practice followed closely on 89 per cent and 88 per cent respectively.\n<\/p>\n

\n On the other end of the scale, Sel Special Allocation Practice received the lowest rating, with just 51 per cent of patients reporting a positive overall experience.\n<\/p>\n

\n The QRP Surgery was rated slightly higher at 52 per cent, and Wells Park Practice at 60 per cent.\n<\/p>\n

\n Nationally, the GP Patient Survey<\/a> found 76.7 per cent of patients reported a good overall experience, showing improvement from previous years. The survey gathered responses from more than 650,000 people across England.\n<\/p>\n

\n A spokesperson for NHS South East London said: “The GP Patient Survey 2026 results provide valuable insight into the experiences of people using GP services in Lewisham.\n<\/p>\n

\n “We are pleased to see that many patients have reported positive experiences of their practice and the care they receive, while also recognising that experiences vary across the borough.\n<\/p>\n

\n “The survey helps us understand where services are working well and where further improvements may be needed.\n<\/p>\n

\n “We work closely with GP practices to review patient feedback, identify opportunities for improvement and support the delivery of high-quality care that meets the needs of local communities.\n<\/p>\n

\n “We are committed to improving people\u2019s experience of primary care and ensuring patients can access the support they need.\n<\/p>\n

\n “We will continue working with practices across Lewisham and south east London to share learning, build on what is working well and address areas where patients tell us their experience could be better.”\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
