Rock star Liam Gallagher has sung the praises of his new neighbours at his Cotswolds retreat.<\/p>\n

The Oasis star was asked on X how he was being treated since moving to a village near Cirencester.<\/a><\/p>\n

The rocker replied: “They’re absolutely incredible. They have not stopped baking me cakes and scones.”<\/p>\n

He spoke out six months after taking on the property on Coates, which he bought from former England captain and Arsenal legend Tony Adams.<\/p>\n

Villagers said they were looking forward to welcoming him<\/a> and it looks like they were true to their word.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Jan Edmonds, who has lived in the village for 12 years and runs the monthly Coffee, Cake and Chat mornings at the village hall, told GloucestershireLive: “There is a certain air of excitement and anticipation. He’s a celebrity that most people know about, of all generations.<\/p>\n

“It’s a friendly village so we’ll make him welcome. I’m sure he’ll have a very nice time here, even if it’s just his country residence. And we’ll be excited if we see him and his family.”<\/p>\n

As well as cakes and scones, Liam’s now got a great local pub to enjoy. A stroll across a couple of fields will get him to the Tunnel House, which opened last month after being closed for six years<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Cirencester area is no stranger to famous faces, with A-list names like Nick Knowles, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Ellie Goulding all having owned properties in or around the location.<\/p>\n
