The Strokes<\/a> have broken out \u2018Dine N\u2019Dash\u2019 live for the first time during their second of two nights at Red Rocks. Check out the footage below.<\/p>\n

The show was held at the iconic Colorado amphitheatre last night (Thursday July 23) following the NYC indie icons making a return to the venue the night before (Wednesday July 22) as well.<\/p>\n

Held as part of their North American tour celebrating their new album \u2018Reality Awaits\u2019<\/a>, the live show was the last to be held before the official release of the highly anticipated record, and came on the heels of huge appearances at Coachella 2026<\/a>, as well as festival slots at Bonnaroo.<\/p>\n

As seen in other recent shows, Julian Casablancas<\/a> and co. kicked off the show with back-to-back renditions of \u2018Killing Lies\u2019, \u2018Hard to Explain\u2019, \u2018Bad Decisions\u2019 and \u2018Juicebox\u2019, before breaking out the lead single from their new LP, \u2018Going Shopping\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After playing \u2018Ize of the World\u2019 next, the band treated the audience to the first ever live rendition of recent single \u2018Dine N\u2019Dash\u2019. The live performance kept the same breezy, laid-back feel as the studio recording, and saw the band with a simple blue and purple light cast over them.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Other songs performed later in the night included \u2018Life Is Simple In The Moonlight\u2019, \u2018Reptilia\u2019, \u2018Last Nite\u2019 and \u2018Evening Sun\u2019, and the indie heroes closed off the set with an encore comprising \u2018You Only Live Once\u2019, \u2018Threat of Joy\u2019 and \u2018Ode To The Mets\u2019.<\/p>\n

Opening acts on the night were Hamilton Leithauser<\/a> (formerly of The Walkmen<\/a>) and Los Angeles-based Turkish psychedelic rock act, \u00d6L\u00dcM.<\/p>\n

The tour continues in San Francisco on August 8, before more shows in Oregon, Washington and more throughout the rest of the month \u2013 as well as two shows at Japan\u2019s Summer Sonic festival.<\/p>\n

US tour dates continue in September, before the band kick off the UK and European leg of the tour in October<\/a>. The UK dates mark the band\u2019s first full tour on British shores in 20 years and include stops in London, Newcastle and Manchester.<\/p>\n

NME reviewed \u2018Reality Awaits\u2019<\/a> and gave The Strokes\u2019 first new album in six years a glowing four stars, describing it as a \u201cweird and wonderful collection\u201d that sees them push out of their comfort zone.<\/p>\n

\u201cLyrically, \u2018Reality Awaits\u2019 feels split between the personal and the political \u2013 sometimes both tussling for attention in the same song, as on the Voidz<\/a>-y opener \u2018Psycho Shit\u2019,\u201d it read. \u201cOften, Casablancas\u2019 words feel impenetrable \u2013 not helped by those slatherings of vocal effects \u2013 but when the barriers crack even a little, they\u2019re invigorating.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aside from the new album, The Strokes have shared In Transit: Part II, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of their latest record<\/a>.
