An independent vet practice has announced the sudden closure of all three of its sites.<\/p>\n

Vale Veterinary Centre, which is described on its website as a “family-run” practice, announced it has ceased trading as of Monday, July 27.<\/p>\n

Its three branches \u2013 in Barry, Cardiff, and Newport \u2013 have been closed with immediate effect and all future appointments are cancelled.<\/p>\n

According to posts on the Vale Veterinary Centre Facebook page the Barry branch has been closed since July 13 and would remain so until August.<\/p>\n

A post from the beginning of the month was advertising for a locum vet position at the Barry site.<\/p>\n

On its website, Vale Veterinary Centre says it is “one of the last independent vet centres in south Wales.”<\/p>\n

Vale Veterinary Centre said patient details can be sent to local practices on request and asked customers to respect members of staff at this “difficult time”.<\/p>\n

The full post read: “Unfortunately as of July 27, 2026, Vale Veterinary Centre has now ceased trading as a veterinary practice.<\/p>\n

“All future appointments are cancelled.<\/p>\n

“We can send patient histories to local practices on request.<\/p>\n

“We ask that you respect our staff at this difficult time.”<\/p>\n
