{"id":715832,"date":"2026-07-28T18:18:09","date_gmt":"2026-07-28T18:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/715832\/"},"modified":"2026-07-28T18:18:09","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T18:18:09","slug":"pinderfields-hospital-reports-tunnel-intruders-to-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/715832\/","title":{"rendered":"Pinderfields Hospital reports tunnel intruders to police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;We are aware that a member of the public accessed a restricted area of the Pinderfields Hospital grounds and subsequently shared video footage online,&#8221; said Chris Evans, deputy chief executive at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Although the footage may give the impression that the main hospital was accessed, the individuals entered an administrative building on the wider hospital grounds and did not gain access to the main hospital.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">He said there was an &#8220;immediate investigation&#8221; and inspection of the area to make sure there was no damage to infrastructure and no impact on patient care or safety.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Evans added: &#8220;The incident has been reported to West Yorkshire Police who are now investigating.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cqjx45qvd19o\" class=\"ssrcss-1e0jzsh-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">It follows a similar incident in which men appeared to break into Wakefield&#8217;s County Hall <\/a>, which was also shared by an urban exploration account.
