A trail of joy-sparking sculptures has just been unveiled in London\u2019s West End in a bid to celebrate the area\u2019s incomparable creativity and character. The playful public art trial is completely free to visit<\/a>, and comes courtesy of acclaimed artist, Mr Doodle, in collaboration with the capital\u2019s cultural initiative, Art of London.<\/p>\n

Mr Doodle\u2019s Doodle Discovery<\/p>\n

The al-fresco art trail features a series of uniquely-designed, doodle-adorned sculptures; each of which pay homage to the cultural and culinary landmarks of London\u2019s West End. Sure to put a smile on even the very grumpiest of Londoners\u2019 faces, Mr Doodle\u2019s Doodle Discovery comprises five huge works of art that have been dotted throughout the likes of Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, and St James\u2019s Market.<\/p>\n

This smile-inducing selection of sculptures will serve as an open-air gallery throughout the summer, offering a fun and family-friendly way of exploring our wonderful West End<\/a>. Each eye-catching installation showcases Mr Doodle\u2019s instantly-recognisable style with bespoke doodled references and bold pops of colour.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a bright orange fish with doodles inspired by the city\u2019s cinema<\/a> scene, a blue robot that pays homage to Leicester Square\u2019s community, a yellow flower that\u2019s been decked out with theatrical doodles, a pink character covered in art-related references, and a red cyclops that celebrates St James\u2019s Market\u2019s thriving food and drink scene. Visitors can also scan a QR code at each sculpture to unlock a digital map.<\/p>\n

Mr Doodle\u2019s Doodle Discovery comes as part of Art of London\u2019s ongoing efforts to celebrate arts, culture and creativity in the capital city \u2013 and will provide a wonderfully interactive and accessible way for Londoners (and beyond) to immerse themselves in art and culture this summer.<\/p>\n
