Alongside Sudeikis, Season 4 sees the return of Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift, alongside new additions Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tFirst premiering in 2020, \u201cTed Lasso\u201d quickly became a fan-favorite juggernaut for Apple TV. Since then, the show has been viewed for more than 25 billion minutes, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2023\/tv\/news\/ted-lasso-crosses-1-billion-viewing-minutes-with-finale-as-fubar-continues-to-lead-overall-titles-1235658127\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Variety<\/a> previously reported.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNews of the show\u2019s Season 4 renewal was first announced in March 2025 following speculation that Season 3 would be the end of the series. Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent and is a writer on \u201cTed Lasso,\u201d had previously told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.co.uk\/article\/ted-lassos-brett-goldstein-im-a-20-year-overnight-success-t9hvzpq2p?\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sunday Times<\/a> that the show was \u201cplanned as three\u201d and had been written as such. In 2021, co-creator Sudeikis told <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/tv\/ted-lasso-cover-jason-sudeikis\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Entertainment Weekly<\/a> that he envisioned the story as a \u201cthree-season arc.\u201d \u201cI\u2019m glad that they are willing to pay for those three seasons,\u201d he said. \u201cAs far as what happens after that, who knows? I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOver the course of the three seasons, the show has racked up 13 Emmys and 61 nominations, including wins for Goldstein (for supporting actor in a comedy series in 2021 and 2022), Sudeikis (lead actor in 2021 and 2022), Hannah Waddingham (supporting actress in 2021) and Sam Richardson (guest actor in 2023).
