Daughter raising sim Volcano Princess<\/a>, out today on the PS5, has launched with an incredible 236 Trophies to earn<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The game, similar to the Princess Maker<\/a> series, sees you preparing the next monarch by taking on your role as her parent.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what the blurb says:<\/p>\n

\u201cFocusing on familial growth, you will be responsible for raising a spunky preteen who will gradually learn how to better engage with people, and practice prim & proper etiquette. You will be able to arrange for her to attend one of four major colleges in the Volcano Kingdom. There she can learn music, take up painting, or become proficient in martial arts and combat. But take care \u2013 if you neglect her, things may go astray.\u201d<\/p>\n

While it does sound a little weird on the surface, this game is actually critically acclaimed, and has a ton of depth to it.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever seen a Trophy list quite like this before, though: you\u2019ll need to earn all 235 Bronze Trophies to unlock the Platinum.<\/p>\n

Some games, like Vampire Survivors<\/a>, have hundreds of Trophies \u2013 but they\u2019re largely listed separately, as \u201cDLC\u201d packs. Here they\u2019re all part of the main list.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

In terms of what you actually have to do, a lot of the gongs can be grabbed by just playing, such as accumulating study sessions or money \u2013 all natural parts of playing the game.<\/p>\n

But it does look like you\u2019re going to have to commit a lot of time to this game to get the Platinum, because many of the other Trophies are attached to different endings and outcomes, which presumably will take a lot of precise playing to achieve.<\/p>\n

I must admit, this game has caught my attention. I\u2019ve never played Princess Maker or anything like it before, so I\u2019m intrigued.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s actually a free demo on the PS Store<\/a>, and the price is pretty low ($10.99\/\u00a38.99) so I might give it a go.<\/p>\n
